Down-the-line.com / Figure Skating. New details have been released on the condition of Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov, who was hospitalized on January 10 with pneumonia. This was reported by the Telegram Shot channel, citing a source familiar with the situation.

According to the publication, the otitis infection could have passed from the ears to the brain. New formations were revealed in the frontal, right occipital and left parietal regions. In addition, the skater develops an intracerebral hematoma of the hemispheres. The most acute phase is in the right frontal lobe with edema.

Recall that Kostomarov was taken to hospital with bilateral pneumonia on January 10 in serious condition. In February, doctors amputated the athlete’s feet and several fingers from his hand due to complications from the disease.
