Kostomarov is in serious condition, he suffered a stroke

As it became known from “”, the state of the Olympic figure skating champion Roman Kostomarova Seriously, he had a stroke, with the consequences of which doctors are struggling.

Kostomarov has been under medical supervision since January. It was previously reported that the 46-year-old skater had his left foot amputated, the aim of the operation was to remove necrosis and stop the process of cell death. Later, cases of amputation of hands were reported.

Even during the first weeks of hospitalization, there were blood clot problems and the doctors also fought the infection by choosing antibiotics. After the amputations, which were previously reported, the condition remained serious, at the end of last week Kostomarov suffered a stroke.

Kostomarov, together with Tatyana Navka, won the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin in ice dancing. In addition, the athletes are twice world champions (2004, 2005) and three times winners of the European Championships (2004, 2005, 2006).
