Saul’s possible opponent is WBO mandatory contender John Ryder
Undisputed World Super Middleweight Champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez announced his return to the ring in May of this year.
“I’m coming back to fight on home soil. I will defend all my titles in May. More information will be coming soon,” Canelo said.
On the night of September 18 last year, Alvarez defeated Gennady Golovkin by unanimous decision and defended his titles. All judges gave Canelo the win – 116-112, 115-113, 115-113.
In early November last year, Alvarez underwent surgery on his left wrist. Saul’s possible opponent is WBO mandatory contender John Ryder.
In turn, Alvarez wants an interim fight in May, and then he is aiming for a rematch with WBA light heavyweight title holder Dmitry Bivol.
