In the first match of the 1/8 finals Champions League Real Madrid beat on the road Liverpool with a score of 5:2.
The Reds scored two quick goals early in the game, first by Darwin Nunez and then by Thibaut Courtois’ mistake by Mohamed Salah. But even before the break, Real equalized thanks to Vinicius Junior’s double, and the Brazilian scored his second goal after Alisson’s mistake.
In the second half, Real managed to score three more goals: Blancos took the lead with an accurate shot by Eder Militan, and then Karim Benzema scored a double.
Ukrainian goalkeeper of Madrid Andriy Lunin got into the application for the game, but spent the whole match in reserve.
The return match between the teams will take place on March 15 in Madrid. The game starts at 22:00 Kyiv time.
