– The FIDE Council of February 21 examined the report prepared by the Constitutional Commission on the request of the FSR to join the ACF. The Asian Chess Federation is expected to make a decision on the request at the General Assembly to be held in Abu Dhabi on February 28. Its adoption will automatically mean that the Russian Chess Federation will leave the European Chess Union, as a federation cannot belong to two continents at the same time, the statement said.
