Athletistic/ Figure Skating. At the end of December 2021, Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva passed a positive doping test. The investigation lasted a long time. Accordingly, RUSADA declared the athlete innocent. WADA has decided to appeal RUSADA’s verdict to CAS. The organization demands the disqualification of Valieva for four years. This was stated by Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Svetlana Zhurova.
– If in such situations the athlete has been acquitted, the following must also be acquitted. Camila’s case seems quite politicized precisely for this reason.
