Athletistic/ Others. The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) has called for Russian and Belarusian athletes to be admitted to the 2024 Olympics in neutral status.
“The issue of Russia and Belarus’ participation in the Olympics is a very complicated issue.
We cannot discriminate against athletes based on their passports or the actions of their governments,” an AOC spokesperson was quoted as saying by The Guardian.
Earlier, the IOC said it planned to consider the possibility of allowing Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in international competitions in a neutral status, subject to strict conditions.
