Ukrainian Konrad won gold at the Cadet European Fencing Championship

Anna Maksimenko and Andrey Cherkashin won bronze medals

Ukrainian fencer Emily Conrad won a gold medal in Cadet European Championship 2023which takes place in Tallinn.

During the competition, the 15-year-old epee fencer knocked out the current European champion Greta Gachayi from Hungary. In the final, the Kiev resident defeated Sofia Prosina from Latvia (15:6).

Another Ukrainian swordswoman Anna Maksimenko won the bronze. In the semi-finals, the Lviv player lost to Prosina (12:15).

Also won a bronze medal Andrey Cherkashin in rapier fencing. In the semi-finals, the Ukrainian lost to the first seeded Hungarian Mattia Rubin.

Earlier, Ukrainian Alina Polozyuk won a bronze medal at the FIE Trofeo Inalpi Grand Prix, which was held in Turin. Previously, Ukrainians have never managed to win medals in the individual foil championship at Grand Prix or World Cup competitions.
