Athletistic/ Figure Skating. State Duma Deputy Svetlana Zhurova, commenting on the decision to transfer the Russian Chess Federation to the Asian Chess Federation, made it clear that other sports may follow the Russian Chess Federation under the Asian flags.
According to Zhurova, even national figure skating may one day change its sports registration, reorienting itself to the East.
“Should all our sports go to Asia now? It all depends on the sport, because, for example, in figure skating there is more competition, probably in Europe. But at the same time, if we are not not allowed to participate in the competitions we participated in earlier, then figure skating will go to Asia,” said Zhurova, quoted by metatares.
