Phil Neville: I don’t deny Inter Miami’s interest in Messi and Busquets

Earlier, Sergey Krivtsov moved to this MLS club

Inter Miami head coach Phil Neville confirmed club interest to the PSG striker Lionel Messi and Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquetsu.

“I am not going to deny anything and will not say that the information about our interest in Lionel Messi and Sergi Busquets is not true. Ever since I came to Miami, we have been linked to every top player in world football.”

“Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi played for us. Now that they have retired, we have the opportunity to sign players whose salaries will go beyond the league limit. We want the best players in the world to play at this club. Messi and Busquets can still be of great benefit to our club. And for the MLS, that would be a turning point.”

Recall that PSG continues to negotiate a contract extension with Messi. The Argentine’s current deal with PSG expires in the summer of 2023.

Earlier, Ukrainian defender Serhiy Kryvtsov signed a contract with Inter Miami until the end of the 2024 season with the option of extending for another season.

Inter Miami finished sixth in the Eastern Conference of the regular season and were eliminated in the 1/8 finals of the 2022 MLS playoffs. The new season in the US Elite Division starts on February 25th.
