The Swedish athlete continues to rewrite history, conquering a new peak.
Swedish track and field athlete Armand Duplantis has set a new indoor pole vault world record.
A new peak was conquered by the 23-year-old athlete at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver tournament in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
Duplantis cleared 6.01 meters on his first attempt, securing him the victory in the competition, but was then asked to set the bar at 6.22 meters, which is potentially a new world record. The first two attempts of the Swedish athlete were not crowned with success, but in the third, a new victory was submitted to him.
Thus, Mondo for the sixth time in his career updated the world record in pole vaulting.
Note that Duplantis owns the updated world record indoors – 6.22 meters, and outdoors – 6.21 meters, which he set at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, USA.
