French Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Castera spoke about her country’s position on controversial issues.

France will provide assistance to Ukrainian athletes to better prepare for the Olympics and Paralympics, which will be held next year in Paris. This was announced by the Minister of Sports of France, Amelie Oudea-Castera. According to the official, in total his country will provide 1 million euros to help Ukrainian athletes.

“My ministry will allocate specific assistance in the amount of 1 million euros so that the Ukrainian delegation, which will go to these Olympic and Paralympic Games, is prepared as well as possible.

We want to represent Ukraine as much as possible. We will determine the best way to make this assistance as effective as possible,” Udea-Kaster was quoted as saying by Inside the Games.

In addition, he categorically opposed the initiative of the IOC to accept athletes from aggressor countries in international sports competitions.

“For us, at this stage, the question of the participation of Russian athletes, even under a neutral flag, is not worth it.

It raises some questions that are very important to us and cause doubts today,” added Udea-Kastera.

Remember, earlier it became known that the IOC upheld the disqualification of Russians and Belarusians.
