Chelsea considering De Zerby as Potter replacement – media

It is reported that the upcoming matches will be key for the current Blues coach

Chelsea keeping an eye on Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi. The Italian is considered among the prime candidates to replace Blues mentor Graham Potter.

Chelsea management are officially expressing their support for the head coach, but are preparing for potential changes. The Blues’ next two matches will reportedly be pivotal for Potter at the helm of the team.

Former Shakhtar coach De Zerby took over Brighton in September 2022. Under his leadership, the Seagulls are eighth in the Premier League. Recall that the Italian worked at Shakhtar with Ukrainian Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudrik.

Earlier it was reported that De Zerbi could lead Juventus in the summer. Milan is also interested in the specialist. De Zerbi’s contract runs until 2026 and includes a high release clause.

Chelsea are 10th in the Premier League with 31 points. The Blues will next host Leeds on 4 March.
