Ukrainian defended his Bellator welterweight title
Ukrainian Bellator welterweight champion Yaroslav Amosov returned to Ukraine after winning the title fight over the American Logan Storley.
“Good evening,” Amosov signed a photo from the border on his Instagram page.
After defeating Storley, Amosov climbed to third place in the updated MMA Bellator rankings. Amosov also offered the UFC champion in his weight category to go to Bellator and fight.
In May last year, Amosov was supposed to fight Briton Michael Page, but he refused to fight and remained in Ukraine during the period of Russian military aggression.
After the start of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Amosov joined the ranks of the territorial defense of Irpen, which was under the occupation of Russian troops.
