Viner-Usmanova explained why the judges changed their minds and gave Kramarenko the victory at the Dubai tournament

Head coach of the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team Irina Viner-Usmanova told that judges revised the scores for the ribbon exercise at the Dubai International tournament due to rule violations by the Belarusian athlete Alina Gornosko .

Competitions in the UAE ended on May 29. In the ribbon exercise, judges initially ranked Gornosko (32.53), Russian, in first place Lala Kramarenko was second (32.47). In the new protocol, Gornosko dropped to 2nd place (32.23), while Kramarenko became the best (32.47).

– There was a revision of the points. Gornosko came off the field, Kramarenko got first place, Viner-Usmanova told .

Kramarenko, 17, is the 2021 European champion in the team event.
