Brazilian clubs are counting on the termination of the player’s contract thanks to the “FIFA rule”
Palmeiras bidding for Shakhtar midfielder Pedrinho.
The midfielder has a contract with the Pitmen and plays on loan at Atlético Mineiro. Both Brazilian clubs hope to eventually get the player, using the FIFA rule for legionnaires of Ukrainian clubs.
Earlier, Atlético Mineiro began negotiations with Shakhtar to extend Pedrinho’s loan. The Roosters want to keep the player until the end of 2023.
Last season, Pedrinho scored four goals and provided three assists in Shakhtar’s 18 appearances in all competitions. The Brazilian has played eight games for Atlético Mineiro without scoring.
The miner is in second position in the Premier League. Atlético Mineiro finished the season in seventh place in the Brazilian Serie A standings, Palmeiras became the champion of Brazil.
