Mikhail Shmykov and Dmitry Kachanov won gold at the Russian Indoor Athletics Championships in the pole vault.
Both athletes showed the result of 5.65 meters. Bronze went to Georgy Gorokhov (5.45).
Maxim Afonin won the shot put (20.33 meters). Second place was taken by Konstantin Lyadusov (19.49), third was Semyon Borodaev (18.56).
Artem Chermoshansky won the long jump with a 7.89m in his best attempt. Silver and bronze were won by Yuri Ozhgibesov (7.80) and Artemy Kolenchenko (7.80). In the women’s long jump, Elena Sokolova (6.67) won, Veronika Semashko (6.65) came second, Ekaterina Levitskaya (6.49) came third.
Snezhana Trofimets became the Russian champion in the shot put (17.40). Natalia Troneva (16.46) became second, Ekaterina Burmistrova (16.41) took bronze.
Polina Miller won the 400 meters (51.58 seconds), Ekaterina Ivanova (52.72) – the second, Ekaterina Vakhrusheva (53.42) took third place. In men, at this distance, Maxim Fedyaev (46.59) became the champion of Russia, Nikita Lenchikov (46.70) became the second, Vadim Kukalev (46.79) won bronze.
Inessa Gusarova won gold in the 800 meters (2:03.91), Yana Perepelitsa (2:04.87) was second, Nigina Tukhtaeva (2:05.60) took third. At a similar distance in the men, Igor Rashchupkin won (1:50.76), Sergey Dubrovsky (1:50.88) and Nikita Egorov (1:51.17) also won.
