Bogdan in the pursuit became 31st
Ukrainian biathlete Bogdan Tsymbal summed up the results of the men’s pursuit at the stage World Cup in Czech Nove Mesto.
“Not a bad result, but it could have been better. At least one miss less and it would be better. There was wind, but on the counter I had no problem with it. Came and was more or less calm. I felt good today and did not look at who and how was riding nearby.
“I worked at my own pace, if I felt that I could overtake, I did it. If I saw that someone was riding well and the pace was suitable, then I tried to fight and endure them.
“In terms of how I feel, it was one of the best starts. I was able to run all five laps at a good pace, although I still lost a lot in my legs. I don’t understand how it works. You run and you run and you think that you are “Wow!” and you are not “Wow!”. It’s annoying.”
Tsymbal completed the men’s pursuit in 31st position. The victory in the race was won by the leader of the individual classification, the Norwegian Johannes Be.
The stage in Nove Mesto will end tomorrow, March 5, with a mixed relay and a mixed single. Tsymbal with Anastasia Merkushina will perform in the single mixed relay.
