Lost in the semi-finals to the second seed
Ukrainian tennis player Hope Kichenok failed to reach the final doubles tournament WTA 250 in Austin (USA).
In the semi-finals, paired with German Anna-Lena Fridzam Kichenok, she lost in straight sets to second seeded Erin Rutliff/Aldila Sutzhiadi (Australia/Indonesia, 2). The Ukrainian-German tandem lost five games on their serve, which was the determining factor in the defeat.
Kichenok and Fridzam played the fourth joint semi-final at the WTA tournaments and failed to reach the final of the tournament for the second time. At the beginning of the month, Kichenok and Friedsam played in the final of the WTA 250 competition in Linz.
In the quarterfinals of the tournament in Austin, Kichenok paired with Friedsam in two sets against the American duet Alisha Parks / Sloane Stevens.
