The last race of the Czech stage of the Biathlon World Cup has ended.
Nove Mesto, Czech Republic hosts the single mixed relay, which is the final race of this World Cup event.
Bogdan Tsymbal and Anastasia Merkushina spoke from Ukraine.
In the first stage, Merkushina did not perform well and came to the relay only 14th, but Bogdan Tsimbal did better and managed to replace the sixth.
Anastasia almost held this position (she ended up eighth, less than three seconds behind sixth). Tsimbal in the last stage had a chance to fight for the bronze, but in the standing shooting he made many mistakes and could not close a target. However, in the last meters he managed to get around the German and take the sixth place of Ukraine.
The victory in the race was won by the Norwegian team consisting of Roiselan and Christensen, who surpassed Switzerland by almost two dozen seconds.
Single mixed relay results
- Norway (0+7) 36:40.5
- Switzerland (0+10) +17.6
- Latvia (0+9) +29.5
- France (1+11) +45.1
- Austria (1+10) +51.4
- Ukraine (1+8) +52.6
Remember that earlier there was a traditional relay race, where Ukraine also had a chance to win a medal, but mistakes in the last shot also deprived our team of bronze.
