Ukrainians scored 6 points and won first place in group B6
Team Ukraine WU-17 defeated Latvia in the second match of the second round of selection for European Championship 2023 among girls – 5:0.
The Ukrainians took the lead thanks to an own goal by Linda Mergup-Cartwright. Before the break, the blue-yellows increased their advantage, the penalty was converted by Lidia Zaborovets.
In the second half, the Ukrainian team hit the opponents’ gates three more times. Katerina Luzva, Marina Ptitsina and Diana Borovskaya each scored a goal.
In the first match of their group, the Ukrainians beat Bulgaria. With 6 points, the blue-yellows won group B6. In the selection for the next European Championship 2024, the Ukrainian team will play in League A.
