T-shirts of the Russian team are distributed by the retailer Wildberries
Spanish equipment manufacturer Joma responded to a request Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) about cooperation with the club of the Russian Federation – zenith.
“We confirm that the Joma headquarters in Spain have terminated all our sponsorship activities with sports teams from Russia and Belarus. We have no direct contact – neither commercial nor sponsorship – with any professional club in these countries, and we were not aware of and have nothing to do with the launch and customization / individual style of the new Zenith kit.
“The T-shirts were distributed by the Wildberries company. This is a retailer who can receive goods from our catalog on the open market, where we have no control,” company representatives said in a letter to UAF.
The other day, a new zenith game set appeared on social networks and information resources, which depicts the Joma logo. Soon the Lviv Carpathians broke off cooperation with the company, signing a contract with Nike.
In the summer, Joma completely exited the Russian market. The company continues to cooperate with the national teams of Ukraine. In addition to Ukraine, Joma makes equipment for the national teams of Bulgaria, Romania, Uzbekistan, Honduras and other teams.
