The Pitmen will play with Feyenoord on March 9 in Warsaw
Midfielder Dmitry Kryskiv spoke about the preparation Miner before the first match Feyenoord in the 1/8 finals Europa League.
“The team was preparing as usual: we trained in Lviv, and yesterday we arrived in Warsaw. There is not much time for preparation, but we have a really close-knit team. I think we are ready for this game.”
“From the very beginning, few people believed in our team, both in the Ukrainian championship and in the European arena. But we have rallied and, as Mister said, we are fighting for each other, for the whole of Ukraine, for all the personnel working with us. And when you go out on the field and fight for each other, you achieve big goals. That is why we are here now.”
“As a player, I can only say that Feyenoord is really a very qualified team, very skillful. The Dutch are good as a team. As for defense, Mister explained to us in theory today that the opponent has very strong full-backs, who work well both in attack and in defense. We will prepare and show our best qualities on the field.”
Recall that Kryskiv was among the best players in the first matches of the 1/16 finals of the Europa League. The midfielder scored the Pitmen’s first goal against Rennes (2:1) and took part in the attack, which led to a penalty against the opponent.
The first match of the 1/8 finals of the Europa League between Shakhtar and Feyenoord will take place on March 9 in Warsaw at the Legia City Stadium named after Marshal Jozef Pilsudski. The game will start at 22:00 Kyiv time. The meeting will be judged by the Slovak brigade headed by Ivan Kruzhlyak.
