The Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics spoke about the Ukrainian athletes who were killed by the Kremlin invaders.

Oleg Vernyaev spoke again about the mass invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine.

This time, the Olympic champion remembered the Ukrainian athletes who died as a result of the Kremlin’s aggression. A particularly popular athlete was struck by the death of a young gymnast.

“Personally, none of my friends were killed. But I remember that a 12-year-old girl died. She was participating in rhythmic gymnastics, not in the national team, but as a candidate. In three or four years, she would get into the team of Ukrainian and compete in the Olympic Games, but died of shelling in Mariupol.

The latest news I saw was that the athletes wrote that another athlete was killed as a result of the Russian shelling. We have many dead,” Vernyaev said in an interview with the Kyiv Post.

We will remind, Vernyaev said earlier that he will never again be with the Russians on the same platform.
