“To adhere to one of the basic principles of Olympism, specified in the Olympic Charter – to strive to place sport at the service of the harmonious development of mankind, with the aim of contributing to the construction of a concerned with the preservation of human dignity, the Seimas adopted a resolution addressed to the parliaments of all the countries of the world and proposing to express its clear and resolute disagreement with any proposal, initiative, project and any other action aimed at the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes and officials to participate in the Olympic Games or any other international competition, including with a neutral flag,” reads the resolution published on the Seimas website.
