Warrior defended Mariupol last year

Athlete Dmitry Vitkovsky returned home from Russian captivity.

The fighter defended Mariupol last spring. The athlete was captured on April 12, 2022. They managed to free the warrior during the last exchange of prisoners.

Witkowski is a master of sports in the 60, 100 and 200 meters. The athlete repeatedly took part and became the winner of the championships of Ukraine, and also took part in the European championships and cups.

Recall that at the end of December, they managed to return Sergei Shevchuk, the brother of sports director Veres Vyacheslav Shevchuk, from Russian captivity. The colonel defended Mariupol from the invaders and held the defense of Azovstal.

Early on the morning of February 24, 2022, Russia launched rocket and air strikes on most Ukrainian cities and then launched a full-scale military invasion. Russia’s war against Ukraine has been going on for 383 days.
