Athletistic/ Others. Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) President Shamil Tarpishchev explained why, in his view, Russian delegates were allowed to attend the International Skating Union (ISU) Congress.
“Different federations have different influence on our officials. Unfortunately, we have lost leadership positions in many international federations, we have weak positions in many organizations. And where positions are strong, anything can happen, including decisions on the admission of our representatives, “- said Tarpishchev.
The ISU Congress will be held in Phuket, Thailand from June 6-10. Representatives of Russia and Belarus will be able to participate in the congress, as well as in the elections of the governing bodies of the UIS. The congress is expected to consider several issues of fundamental importance to Russia, including the abolition or extension of the suspension of Russian athletes from participating in international competitions under the auspices of the ISU.
