Athletistic / Others. Russian Federation Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin has offered to hold the first Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Games in Russia. Matytsin offered to hold the Games at the meeting of heads of departments responsible for the development of physical culture and sports in SCO member states. This event took place in Delhi (India).

Russian Sports Minister Matytsin falls under US sanctions

“We offer to consider the site of the Russian Federation as a possible host country for the SCO Games in agreement with the chairmanship of the SCO for the next calendar period,” said the press service of the Russian Ministry of Sports quoting Matytsin.

The SCO includes Russia, India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
