Former World Light Heavyweight Champion Alexander Gvozdyk his next fight will be on May 6 on the undercard of the undisputed world super middleweight champion fight Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs) with mandatory contender for WBO belt John Ryder (32-5, 18 KOs).
Earlier, the Ukrainian announced that he intends to perform during the show in Guadalajara. Gvozdik’s opponent will be determined later.
Canelo officially agreed to fight Rader on May 6 in Guadalajara, Mexico at Akron Stadium. After the bout with the Brit, Alvarez is aiming for a rematch with WBA light heavyweight title holder Dmitry Bivol.
Gvozdik defeated Mexican Josue Obando on points in the first fight after a long pause. Alexander initially planned to fight the Argentinean Jorge Miranda, but later Obando became his opponent.
