Damage is $300 million
Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and President of the NOC of Ukraine Vadim Gutzeit called the latest data on the number destroyed or damaged sports infrastructure in Ukraine.
“Today, 343 sports facilities have been damaged, of which 95 have been completely destroyed. The amount of damage according to preliminary calculations is 300 million dollars. Some facilities are also located in the occupied territories. There is one goal – to win and restore everything, including the sports infrastructure.”
In January, Gutzeit gave the following figures: 320 sports facilities were damaged by Russian aggression, 87 of them were destroyed. Losses exceeded $250 million.
The war against Russia has been going on for 386 days.
