Tyson does not need a rematch in the contract for the fight with Usyk
Famous American coach Teddy Atlas believes WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury could demand waive the rematch clause in the fight contract with WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO title holder Oleksandr Usykbecause the plans to end his career after that.
“Let’s put it this way: Fury made a lot more money than Usyk. I don’t think he needs a rematch. I’m not trying to be funny here. I’m taking the question seriously. I think he’s probably trying to close the shop. May be. I don’t think it’s a crazy assumption about Fury.”
“He had a great career. He still has a great career. Nobody knows how long it will last. It depends on him. I don’t want to count other people’s money, but it looks like he has enough for two lives.”
“To me it sounds like this. Fury doesn’t have to think about anything after that. Perhaps he had already decided for himself that after that there would be nothing more.
The fight for the title of absolute world champion is planned to be held on April 29 at Wembley Stadium. Usyk accepted Fury’s offer to split the fee 70/30 with the condition that the Briton immediately after the fight donate one million pounds to Ukraine. It was also reported that Fury suggested that Usyk not include a rematch clause in the unification fight contract.
Fury has already opened his training camp to prepare for the fight with the Ukrainian. The Briton said that he was leaving social networks for the duration of training at the camp. Usyk is also actively preparing for the fight.
