The Norwegian is motivated to play for a few more seasons
Norwegian biathlete Johannes Be confirmed that does not plan to end his career in the near future and will perform until the 2026 Olympics in Italy.
“My future is quite certain. I have called a press conference for March 2026, this decision will not change.”
“When I see Marte Olsbu-Røiseland ending her career now, I begin to feel that this day will soon come for me too. This is madness. Last weekend, sitting on the sidelines and watching others ski was just awful. Because I really want to be there myself and fight for the highest places.”
“My motivation is to beat all opponents. When they beat me, it’s the worst feeling. The achievements of Bjoerndalen, Fourcade also remain. There are a few more records, so I have to find things that will motivate me. I already have 70 World Cup wins, so 80 is my next goal. It’s a long process, but perhaps it will inspire me during my last years in the sport.”
29-year-old Johannes Boe won the sprint at this season’s final World Cup event in Holmenkollen. Previously, Be won the overall standings of the Men’s Biathlon World Cup in the 2022/2023 season. He ahead of schedule became the owner of the Big Crystal Globe.
Recall that several famous biathletes announced their retirement after this season – Norwegians Tiril Eckhoff and Marte Olsby-Roiseland, German Denise Herrmann-Wik and Frenchwoman Anais Chevalier-Busche.
