Elina’s return will take place in April
Former first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina will return to the court in April.
The Ukrainian received a wild card at the WTA 500 tournament in Charleston. The event will start on April 3rd. Elina trains under the guidance of the Dutchman Ramon Slater.
In December, Svitolina resumed training. Elina’s husband, French tennis player Gael Monfils, said that the tennis player is very motivated to return to the sport.
Svitolina suspended performances at the end of March last year, preparing for the birth of her daughter. The Ukrainian lost the title of the first racket of the country during her vacation. Now Elina is ranked 875th in the WTA rankings.
