Athletistic/ Others. Former American cyclist Greg Lemond has revealed he has been diagnosed with cancer.
“I have been diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia. Luckily this type of cancer is treatable and not life threatening. I have been feeling unwell for a few weeks which prompted me to get tested. The prognosis at long term is very favourable,” Lemond said.
According to Greg, he will start treatment immediately, which will help him feel better in a few weeks, and in a few months he will go into remission.
Lemond won the Tour de France in 1986, 1989 and 1990. He also became a three-time road cycling world champion (1979, 1983, 1989). At present, the former cyclist is 60 years old.
