Olympic figure skating champion Alexei Yagudine on March 18, celebrating his 43rd birthday, said he would remember this date for a long time.

On Saturday, Yagudin performed an exhibition number as part of the Moscow Sports Cup in Figure Skating, a youth team competition between figure school athletes aged 6 to 12.

– The most unusual birthday of your life?

– At 30, I was slashed for a few days, there were incomprehensible sensations. 35 – already for a week. 40 – I walked for two weeks and I did not understand: everything seems to be fine, but something is wrong. I thought the next boom would be at 45. And 43 is a passing date. I thought it would pass and that’s it. But today, we had a pre-tournament rundown of the show schedule, we talked about it with Tanka (Totmianina), and she says, “Some kind of surrealism.
