Olympic champion Alina Zagitova will perform at the sixth stage of the Moscow Sports Cup in figure skating, reports the press service of the tournament organizers.
The sixth stage of the Moscow Sports Cup will take place on March 26 in the small arena of the CSKA sports complex. Zagitova will headline the event.
– In my opinion, the Moscow Sports Cup is a very cool initiative. In figure skating, you have to grow up early and the transition from skating as a child to skating as an adult can be quite difficult. Competing “like adults” helps young skaters and skaters understand what it is, gently instilling a sense of responsibility for the outcome. The more such events, the stronger our figure skating will be,” Zagitova said.
The Moscow Sports Cup in Figure Skating is a youth team competition between athletes aged 6-12. The tournament is held between teams of youth categories I and II, as well as sports categories I and II in men’s and women’s individual skating according to a free program.
