Athletistic/OI-2024. Ukrainian Sports Minister Vadym Gutzeit again criticized the IOC’s intention to consider next week the issue of reinstating athletes from Russia and Belarus into neutral status.
Gutzeit noted that Ukraine does not have normal conditions to train and prepare for the Olympics, while Russia has everything necessary to train and compete in its own country. Russians sleep at night, but Ukrainians don’t. Ukraine’s sports minister doesn’t understand what was the point of excluding Russia and then kicking it out now, on the eve of the Olympics.
