Athlete Savlukov said he set himself the goal of ‘missing’ by 45 seconds in the current season at 400m

Russian athlete Savely Savlukov said that this season he would like to “miss” 45 seconds at a distance of 400 meters.

On Tuesday, Savlukov won the Znamensky Brothers Memorial tournament in Moscow with a time of 45.18 seconds. Second and third places were taken by Maxim Fedyaev (45.78) and Alexander Masyutenko (46.07).

– It ran very cool, I didn’t feel the wind, everything went well in the final stretch, I ran, I finished. I ran in Luzhniki for the first time in my life, I want more such tournaments. It’s good to have a whole week of athletics ahead of us. The tasks of the season are clear – missing 45 seconds. The Russian record for adults is 44.60, it’s been around since the 80s, but that, you know, is very fast,” Savlukov told reporters.
