Krasyuk: It will be a difficult fight with Joyce. Maybe even more difficult than with Fury

Joe Joyce is only third in line of mandatory challengers

Alexander Krasyukpromoter of the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, named possible rivals of the Ukrainian in the next battles.

“We have three mandatory contenders: Daniel Dubois, WBA number one, and then IBF – Filip Hrgovic, who is number two, and WBO champion Joe Joyce.”

“I would like to say that the most difficult test for Usyk is Joe Joyce. This will be a difficult battle. It might even be a tougher fight than Tyson Fury.”

Manager Egis Klimas said that the duel between WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO champion Oleksandr Usyk and Fury, scheduled for April 29, will not take place. According to Klimas, the Gypsy King’s team demanded too much, no matter how much Usyk compromised.

Promoter Oleksandr Krasyuk said that Usyk would start talks about his next fight this weekend. The Ukrainian will prepare for the defense of titles according to one of the versions, which will be held in June or July.

Recall that the WBA is the first in line of organizations whose belt should be defended by the Ukrainian champion. Dubois fought his last fight in December 2022, knocking out Kevin Lerena. In a duel with a representative of South Africa, Daniel received a cruciate ligament rupture.
