Athletistic/ Others. Russian gymnast Ivan Kulyak has filed an appeal against the decision of the Gymnastic Ethics Foundation (GEF) to suspend him for one year.
This was announced by the President of the Russian Artistic Gymnastics Federation (FSGR) Vasily Titov. Previously, GEF suspended Kulyak for a year for performing at the artistic gymnastics World Cup stage awards ceremony with the letter “Z” on his chest.
“Z” is used by the Russian military, who are involved in a special operation on the territory of Ukraine, in the sense of “For victory!” The athlete’s appeal will be heard by the Gymnastics Ethics Foundation Appeal Tribunal.
