Will play for Independiente del Valle
Former Shakhtar striker Marcelo Moreno will continue his career in a club from the championship of Ecuador – Independiente del Valle.
The 35-year-old Bolivian striker has moved to a new club as a free agent. Earlier, he terminated the contract with the Paraguayan Cerro Porteño.
Moreno was Shakhtar’s player from the summer of 2008 to January 2012, making 45 appearances in total and scoring 10 goals. The miner loaned him to Werder Bremen and Wigan. After leaving the Ukrainian club, Moreno played in China, for the Brazilian Cruzeiro and Cerro Porteño.
Independiente del Valle is in second place in the Ecuadorian league with 6 points in three starting rounds.
