Lomachenko: This is my last chance to become the undisputed world champion and the most important moment in my career

The Lomachenko-Haney fight will take place on May 20 in Las Vegas

Former world champion in three weight categories Vasily Lomachenko commented on his upcoming fight against the undisputed world lightweight champion Devina Haney.

“I agree that this is my last chance to become the absolute world champion. That’s why it’s very important. Am I worried? I do not think about it. I just focus on the fight and my goal.”

“Is Haney the toughest opponent of his career? I’ll check, I don’t know. Haney’s second fight against Kambosos was very interesting, at a very high level, and I liked that fight.”

“This is the most important moment in my professional career. This fight is my chance. I don’t want to talk about the future. We don’t know what the outcome will be.”

The Lomachenko-Haney fight will take place on May 20 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden and will be broadcast on PPV on ESPN+.

Lomachenko defeated American Jemaine Ortiz in his last fight. For the Ukrainian, this was the first and only fight for 10 months.

Haney defeated George Kambosos again last October to retain the WBC, WBA Super, IBF and WBO lightweight titles.
