Down-the-line.com/Fencing. Ilgar Mammadov, the head of the Russian Fencing Federation, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the recommendations presented by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) regarding the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to the Paris Olympics.
“We will not be able to go to Paris with these IOC conditions. Either we have to make a pact with the devil to go to Paris or remain human. We will not be able to travel even to countries where World Cup competitions will have place if they are rescheduled from countries that cannot hold tournaments. The conditions under which we can be admitted are unacceptable,” Mammadov said as quoted by RIA Novosti Sport.
