Bob Arum revealed the details of the failed title fight between the Ukrainian and the British.
Bob Arum, co-promoter of the WBC heavyweight champion of the British Tyson Fury, shared his opinion about the failure of the duel for the undisputed championship with the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
According to the promoter, the reason for canceling the fight was a financial issue.
“Did the money play a decisive role? Yes, absolutely, otherwise it would have happened. Saudi money was enough. That’s what both sides agreed on from the beginning.”

Arum said Saudi Arabia could host the title fight at the end of this year.
“There was some controversy regarding the rematch, but I think it was just an excuse. The Saudis said they were ready to accept the fight, but only in November or December. So they didn’t let anyone go,” Boxing quoted Arum as saying. News 24.
It was previously reported that Fury’s father made an intriguing speculation about Usyk’s future rival.
