Down-the-line.com / Cross-country skiing. Norwegian Teresa Johaug, four-time Olympic cross-country skiing champion, shared her opinion on the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to allow Russians and Belarusians to compete. Earlier, IOC chief Thomas Bach said the organization recommends allowing athletes into a neutral status if they are not supporting a special military operation and are not associated with Russia’s military structures.

The Association of African Olympic Committees supported the IOC recommendations on the admission of Russians

“I don’t play political games. But I think that until the situation in Ukraine changes, it is completely wrong to allow Russians to compete.

I feel sorry for the Russian skiers. The situation is beyond their responsibility. I have nothing against them,” Yohaug said as quoted by Expressen.
