– While Russia is in conflict with another country, there can be no question of Russian participation in the World Cup next season. This applies to all competitions at international level. I speak for myself, but I don’t think I have such an attitude,” Klebo Dagbladet quotes.
National team coach Norway Eirik Muir Nossum agreed with Klebo’s comments.
– As it stands, Russia will not participate in the World Cup next season. From a purely sporting point of view, I think the best athletes should be at the start, but not in the conditions we have now, Nossum said.
The International Ski Federation (FIS) at the end of last season withdrew the Russians from competitions under its auspices due to the situation in Ukraine.
