Usyk: Most likely, the fight against Dubois will take place at the end of summer

Now a possible opponent of the Ukrainian is recovering from a knee injury

WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO Heavyweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk his next fight may be held at the end of the summer. The opponent of the Ukrainian, most likely, will be the mandatory contender for the WBA belt Daniel Dubois.

“The first is the WBA – this is Dubois. We thought to box on the 29th, but he has a knee injury. Then they wanted to change the queue so that the IBF would go first, but again all these moments are working and something didn’t work out there.”

“Probably it will be Dubois at the end of the summer. This is not 100%, but the team of Alexander Krasyuk and Egis Klimas is working in this direction.”

It was previously reported that Usyk is in talks to fight Dubois to defend his WBA belt. The British team sent the Association medical confirmation that the boxer had recovered from the injury received in the last fight.

The WBA is the first in line of organizations whose belt should be defended by the Ukrainian champion. If Dubois does not have time to prepare for the fight, the Ukrainian is ready to face IBF belt contender Filip Hrgovic.
