In the match for third place Ukrainians beat Slovakia
Men’s archery team of Ukraine took third place at the European Grand Prix in Lilleshel (UK).
The Ukrainian team, consisting of Olympic champion Viktor Ruban, Ivan Kozhokar and Artem Ovchinnikov, showed the seventh result in qualifying. In the playoffs, our trio defeated the team of Switzerland (6:2), the Czech Republic (5:4, 29:25 in a tie-break), and in the semi-finals, the Ukrainians lost to the Netherlands (1:5).
In the match for bronze, the Ukrainians did not leave a chance for the team of Slovakia (6:0).
Recall that the Ukrainian men’s archery team won team silver at the European Championship 2021. The blue-and-yellows were represented by Alexey Gunbin, Georgy Ivanitsky and Ivan Kozhokari.
