The Russian Ski Championship in 2023 will be held in Tyumen, reported Governor of the Tyumen region Alexander Moor in the Telegram channel.
– Based on our “Pearl of Siberia”, the main team will organize several training camps. In March 2023, Tyumen will host the Russian Cross-Country Championship,” Moor wrote.
The head of the region also said that the president of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), Elena Vyalbe, received the award “For services to the Tyumen region”.
– She has been the head of the sports federation for 12 years. Achieved outstanding results. During all this time, we have cooperated fruitfully. Thanks to the excellent personal work of Elena Valerievna and her entire team, the Tyumen region this year has one of the best results at the Olympic Games. Our athletes are traditionally included in the national team, in the coming season in the main team – seven skiers from Tyumen, – said Moor.
The Russian cross-country ski team won four gold, four silver and three bronze medals at the Beijing Olympics.
