The Blue-Yellows will face North Macedonia
Women’s national handball team of Ukraine determined the composition for the matches 2023 World Cup Qualifier Playoffs against North Macedonia. The team consists of 16 handball players.
The composition of the women’s national team of Ukraine in handball:
Goalkeepers: Maria Gladun (Fuchse Berlin), Victoria Saltanyuk (Galician).
Field players: Diana Dmitryshyn, Maryana Markevich, Irina Prokopyak, Anastasia Melekestseva, Marina Konovalova (all Galicians), Yulia Andreichuk (Volda, Norway), Lesya Smoling, Natalya Volovnik (both Yaroslav, Poland), Daria Kot (Carpathians), Tamara Smbatyan ( Alba Fehervar, Hungary), Irina Glebko (Rymnicu Valcea, Romania), Irina Stelmakh (Podravka, Croatia), Irina Kompaniets (Juventa, Slovakia).
The blue-yellows will play two matches with North Macedonia for a ticket to the 2023 World Cup. The first game will take place on April 8 (beginning at 20:00) in Skopje, the second leg is scheduled for April 11 (18:00). Nominally, the Ukrainians will play the home match in the Hungarian Kishvarda.
The broadcast of the first match can be viewed on ehvtv.com. The second match will be broadcast by Ukrainian channels – XSPORT and Sport 1.
In the first round of qualification, Ukraine defeated Luxembourg in a two-match confrontation. The Blue-Yellows got two confident wins – 36:13 and 30:11.
The World Handball Championship among women’s national teams will take place in December 2023 in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
